Stress is a Beast That Can Hinder Your Progress

How frustrating is it to feel like you’re doing everything you can, yet you’re still not seeing results?

You could be:

  • Moving daily 
  • Training a good balance of resistance training cardio and stretching
  • Eating “clean” and tracking your food and water intake
  • Sleeping 8+ hours a night
  • Taking all your vitamins and your green juice

 

BUT…. you’re still struggling to see progress in your body, your mind and it gets to the point where it just frustrates you!

Stress is one thing we don’t always see or feel, yet it affects every part of our mind and body including our physical, mental, emotional well-being, including our nervous system, digestive system, reproductive system, and more.

 

Your body works in amazing ways, in fact, your body is resilient enough to handle a lot of stress. However, when your body is constantly in a state of stress, it will support you for so long before it starts to affect your physical performance, emotional state, and cognitive function, to the point where you feel like you’re falling apart.

 

How does this affect your health and fitness goals to lift heavy, run faster or stay “motivated”?

Well, let’s just say...it screws everything up for you. Fat loss and muscle gain go out of the window. You may even realise your eating habits start to be affected...more sugar, more alcohol and choosing poor habits towards your health and fitness goals.

So, if you can relate to this and struggle to find results, look at your daily stressors and how it is impacting on other areas of your life, especially your health.

 

Stress cannot always be reduced, but it can be better managed. 

Understanding how to set boundaries, putting strategies in place to make YOU a priority, and knowing how to create a more balanced life through LESS is MORE approach will help.

How you structure your week, your nutrition, your training, your work, and everything that you do can and will help you get closer to your goals.
