The safety of our community is our top priority. We are even more focused on it now. To set the standard, we’ve made modifications to how we operate – all designed to keep our members, personal trainers, clients and team safe. These modifications may change over time as we get more green lights from local and state government. Here are all the modifications you can expect:
Deep Cleaning Process
Before and after every class, all weights, cardio equipment and all equipment will be thoroughly disinfected and cleaned, even if not in use. This include doorknobs, bathrooms, benches, sinks, lockers, etc.
Modification for Classes Structure
Class timetable and structure/format may be modified to work around limited attendance and physical distancing.
Use of the pull up rig/bar may need to be limited.
Skipping will be avoided as a result of higher potential for unintentional spread of sweat.
How Many Members are Allowed in Class & in the Gym
To avoid overcrowding, we will be limiting the number of members in class. Our class sizes have been limited to the lesser of no more than 10 people. We will continue to refer to the advice of government guidelines. All members are REQUIRED to book their spot on Zen Planner. No walk-ins will be allowed to ensure fairness as we will not be going beyond 10 people in class.
Members are asked to wait outside of the facility until 10 minutes prior to class. Each session will allow for a 10-minute buffer after each class to allow time to safely clean up and exit the facility prior to the next group. Plan to arrive 5 minutes before class start – we won’t allow entry beyond the start of class.
Pre-Screening Questions & Health Check
Prior to entering the facility, all staff, members and gym users will be required to self-answer the following questions (If the response to any is “yes” you will not be allowed to enter the facility).
- Have you had a cough?
- Have you had a fever?
- Have you been around anyone exhibiting these symptoms within the past 14 days?
- Are you living with anyone who is sick or quarantined?
Accessing the Facility
Please use the provided hand sanitisers as you enter, alternatively please thoroughly wash your hands before class.
Coaches to Check-in All Class Participants
Your coach will check in for your class attendance on the iPad.
The use of a touchless infrared thermometer will be used to check the temperature of all gym users prior to entering the facility. If your temperature exceeds 37 degrees celsius, you will be asked not to enter the facility.
Physical Distancing Guidelines
We are asking all members to maintain at least 1.5 meters distance between themselves and others in the gym. Core Strength Fitness has implemented procedures to help ensure these distancing guidelines are respected including individualised designated workout area, the floor markers are used to indicate a safe distance during class. We will endeavour to ensure that while coaching classes, the coach maintains an adequate amount of physical distance from members and ensure each member understands the requirement to stay within their designated training space.
Hand washing with soap and water will be required by all staff between every class.
What Else is CSF Doing to Keep The Gym Clean?
Our facility will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected prior to re- opening. We will disinfect all surfaces and equipment.
We will maintain a regular schedule for disinfection of all equipment, surfaces, and restrooms throughout the day.
At the end of each class, we request that all members thoroughly wipe down and disinfect their equipment and designated workout area and equipment.
Members who are currently on suspension and wish to commence training on the day the gym re-opens will need to email Sylvia (info @ corestrengthfitness.melbourne) to activate their membership.
All members will be charged at the normal membership fee they’ve agreed on.
All members will have access to both virtual and in-gym classes. The number of classes per week will remain the same depending on the type of membership you’re currently on.
We realise that the COVID-19 pandemic has created unforseen circumstances for many people, so we want to make sure that you know you can suspend your membership for up to 3 months without additional suspension fees. You can extend your suspension request by accessing our website https://corestrengthfitness.melbourne/membership-suspension/
Staff and coaches who are sick will be expected to stay home.
We will maintain open communication with all members and team members as the situation develops.
If you have questions or concerns, let’s talk it out at info @ corestrengthfitness.melbourne
