Congratulations to Ryan ‘Rhino’ Ambrose for being nominated as April’s Member of the Month by his gym family.

Rhino is one of the most consistent member in his class participation and training. He gives 100% effort in class and trains in CoreFit, BoxHit and Olympic Weightlifting.

Well done and congratulations Rhino! We love seeing you in class and the progress you’ve made so far.

WHAT DO YOU ENJOY ABOUT TRAINING AT CORE STRENGTH?

The trainers & the supportive community. Having been to a few different gyms its so refreshing to have trainer who are genuinely invested in seeing you improve your strength and fitness.

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR PROUDEST MOMENT/ACHIEVEMENT SINCE STARTING AT CORE STRENGTH?

Before I started training at Core Strength, I had never done exercises such as bench press and deadlifts. It’s been really  rewarding to see the weights I can lift gradually climb over the past 12 months. I also couldn’t do double-unders before I started at Core Strength lol.

WHAT HAS BEEN ONE CHALLENGE YOU’VE OVERCOME SINCE STARTING AT CORE STRENGTH?

I had a lower back injury roughly 6 months ago and I had to alter my workouts because of it. Coach Sonia gave me alternate workouts and rehab to do, and now I’m back lifting at full strength again. It was great to have trainers who are willing to adapt workouts and help you get back to full capacity asap.

WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS NOW?

My goals for the next 6 months is to continue to build my strength and attend more Olympic lifting classes.
